Raymond James welcomes Utah financial advisor team managing nearly $200 million in assets
ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Raymond James recently welcomed financial advisors Michael Forbes and Colin Forbes to Raymond James Financial Services (RJFS) – the firm’s independent advisor channel – according to Casey McGee, Western assistant division director for RJFS.
Operating as Forbes Private Wealth in Draper, Utah, the advisors are joined by senior client service associate Wendy Kilbourne. Together they offer a personalized approach to managing wealth for clients ranging from business owners and corporate executives to families and healthcare professionals. They arrive from D.A. Davidson & Co. where they previously managed nearly $200 million in client assets.
“It was the culture at Raymond James that initially attracted us to the firm, and its reputation for placing the advisor-client relationship first has been proven time and again through this process. Additionally, I’m confident that access to the firm’s sophisticated suite of products and services, as well as its emphasis on advanced technology will help us continue to raise the bar for our clients,” said Michael.
As managing director and partner, Michael has more than 40 years of financial services experience. He was most recently affiliated with D.A. Davidson & Co. since 2009, where he served as a branch manager and later senior vice president advisor, prior to which he was a senior vice president and Utah branch manager for A.G. Edwards for 18 years. A graduate of Utah State University, Michael earned a Bachelor of Science in political science with a minor in business.
Colin, a partner at the practice, has served clients for more than a decade as an advisor assistant and later senior financial advisor at D.A. Davidson & Co. In addition to his professional experience, he is also a Certified Wealth Strategist® designee and studied at both Utah Valley University and the University of Phoenix.
